The offset design of the ledges diminishes territory disputes between males and helps increase occupancy. Two lines of dormers encircle the dramatic, maroon roof, leading to the white and maroon cupola for exciting height and a faithful reproduction. Wooden shingles also adorn the roof, bringing more texture and architecture to the home, while a stylized American flag extends from the cupola to complete the item. The flat base has a single hole beneath each apartment for drainage, and is removable for seasonal nest checks. It also enables this home to be displayed on a flat surface, indoors or out.
